My second session Of hypnosis...

Second Session As I was curious to go deeper into this, went to take second session exactly after one week of my previous one. This time I was a bit calm and focused, that will put effortless efforts to concentrate. DR Manish with his always smiling face greeted me nicely and started my session. Just after around 3 to 4 minute I could feel as if my chair on which I sitting was flying, I literally holed the arms of the chair tight, as if there was no gravity on the ground was felt. It was bit scary, for one moment I thought of opening my eyes, but don’t know why my conscious didn’t allowed to do that so. I was feeling lighter and lighter. I could see me as a young girl sitting in a garden which was located in a green valley, very beautiful valley; I can still remember that place fresh in my mind. My Hypnosis session No 1 and its experience... What exactly is hypnosis? While definitions can vary, the American Psychological Association describes hypnosis as a cooperative interaction in which the participant responds to the suggestions of the hypnotist. While hypnosis has become well-known thanks to popular acts where people are prompted to performs unusual or ridiculous actions, the technique has also been clinically proven to provide medical and therapeutic benefits, most notably in the reduction of pain and anxiety. But psychiatrists do understand the general characteristics of hypnosis, and they have some model of how it works. It is a trance state characterized by extreme suggestibility, relaxation and heightened imagination. It's not really like sleep, because the subject is alert the whole time.
