Growth is Actually "ACTIVE LISTENING"

We listen to obtain information, we listen to understand, we listen for enjoyment, and we listen to learn. Research suggests that we remember between 25 percent and 50 percent of what we hear. That means that when we talk to our boss, colleagues, customers or spouse for 10 minutes, we pay attention to less than half of the conversation. This is dismal! Listening is one of the most important skills one can have. How well you listen has a major impact on your job effectiveness, and on the quality of your relationships with others. The way to become a better listener is to practice "active listening”. It takes a lot of concentration and determination to be an active listener. Do’s:   Maintain eye contact Limit your talking Focus on the speaker Ask questions Manage your emotions Listen with your eyes and ears   Listen for ideas...

Ethics for Professionals...Sound good!! isn't???

Ethical living – and leading – takes courage and conviction. It means doing the right thing, even when the right thing isn't popular or easy. But when you make decisions based on your core values, then you tell the world that you can't be bought – and you lead your team by example. What we rarely see, however, are stories about the numerous companies that are managed by ethical leaders. While standards seem to keep falling in some corporations, other leaders "raise the bar" and Inspire their teams to do the same. These leaders do the right thing, at the right time, for the right reasons. They put their ethics before the bottom line– and as a result, they have dedicated teams that would do almost anything for them. To begin, you must know your own values as well as your organization's values. Professionals must live and breathe the principles of honesty and integrity every day. They must communicate clearly, keep promises, have personal accountabi...

My second session Of hypnosis...

Second Session As I was curious to go deeper into this, went to take second session exactly after one week of my previous one. This time I was a bit calm and focused, that will put effortless efforts to concentrate. DR Manish with his always smiling face greeted me nicely and started my session. Just after around 3 to 4 minute I could feel as if my chair on which I sitting was flying, I literally holed the arms of the chair tight, as if there was no gravity on the ground was felt. It was bit scary, for one moment I thought of opening my eyes, but don’t know why my conscious didn’t allowed to do that so. I was feeling lighter and lighter. I could see me as a young girl sitting in a garden which was located in a green valley, very beautiful valley; I can still remember that place fresh in my mind. One man named “ILLA” came to interact with me, he started coming often to meet me, both of us started liking be with each other every time. He married me, and we starte...

What a wonderful experience!!! hypnosis

My Hypnosis session No 1 and its experience... What exactly is hypnosis? While definitions can vary, the American Psychological Association describes hypnosis as a cooperative interaction in which the participant responds to the suggestions of the hypnotist. While hypnosis has become well-known thanks to popular acts where people are prompted to performs unusual or ridiculous actions, the technique has also been clinically proven to provide medical and therapeutic benefits, most notably in the reduction of pain and anxiety. But psychiatrists do understand the general characteristics of hypnosis, and they have some model of how it works. It is a trance state characterized by extreme suggestibility, relaxation and heightened imagination. It's not really like sleep, because the subject is alert the whole time. It is most often compared to daydreaming, or the feeling of "losing yourself" in a book or movie. You are fully conscious, but you tune out most of the sti...

Death...A NEW BEGINNING!!!

What a beautiful quote I found to start my article as it gives the actual crux of this write up. Every man dies. Not every man really lives. सभी लोग मरते हैं , पर वास्तव में सभी लोग जीते नहीं हैं .                                                                                            William Wallace    I challenge if anybody denies this fact that everybody remembers death in life; only the day somebody close to us dies we are reminded of DEATH. Isn’t it? T hat’s the fact. Death actually need not...

Has Education become Business now-a- days…

“Education is the transformation  of civilization”. Gone are day when education was keepsake, benefaction…and Guru’s were so keen to educate their students to make them the best of the world… We still remember teachers who seemed to be on a mission, a sort of camping to educate, who wanted kids to open their minds to the possibilities around them. They were our counselors, our mentors, the ones who guided us and listened to our sometimes extremely ridiculous ideas. But it seems really pity that in today's competitive world education has taken new face that is business. Now everything is becoming business. Donation of the college, school, or institute is such that it is not possible for middle class person to afford it, and at last left uneducated, hence, called as illiterate… Education has become a business – not that ‘business’ is a bad thing. It is just that schools and universities have become such commercial enterprises that everything is measured in terms of ...
